The boat is sold. Ross on South Whidbey is going to bring it back to life, and I couldn’t ask for a more picture-perfect ending to my adventure aboard.

This boat has been part of my adventure, and I’m grateful for the memories that came with it. Now it’s time for someone else to make a few of their own.

Ross on South Whidbey is going to bring the boat back to life. Knowing that there’s care, work, and another chapter ahead makes this a wonderful way to close mine.

Ross, I wish you all the best with the restoration and every adventure that follows. Thank you for giving this Catalina a new beginning.

A Catalina with

A 1979 Catalina 27: a fixed keel, a familiar cockpit, and warm wood below deck. These photographs preserve a little of the boat as it was during my chapter.

The next chapter belongs to Ross, who plans to bring it back to life on South Whidbey.
